2/19/25:

Hello friends;

We want to thank you for praying with us during our 40-day prayer journey for Healing for Haiti. The Haitian church is still holding nightly revival services and we will have our celebration for what God has done through this campaign on Sunday. We praise His Name above all other names for what He has done and is doing.
During the 40 days of praying, the Haitian and American board and several others close to UCI have felt God opening the door for short-term mission teams to return to UCI. We feel that several factors are confirming this decision:
  1. The community of UCI and the greater Central Plateau and Northern Haiti have remained safe and are a safe distance from the unrest. Team members would not be anywhere near Port-au-Prince.
  2. These same areas have been very proactive in making sure that no gangs are allowed to try to establish a base.
  3. Missionary Flights International or MFI flies to Cap Haitian and then directly to Pignon, which is only a 6 mile drive to UCI.
  4. UCI has a good community presence and security measures in place.
We understand if the church is unable to send a team at this time due to the continued unrest in the capital and Southern Haiti. But, if you have individuals that would like to return to UCI, we are offering 2 'open' team trips.
Dates: June 5-12 & June 26 - July 3
Cost: $1,115/person for MFI flight, food and accommodations; $400 deposit required with application; domestic flights and shuttle to MFI to be arranged by each person; project costs to be decided and shared by the team
The team would be made up of people from various churches that come together at MFI's hospitality park in Fort Pierce, FL and fly together to Haiti to spend a week at UCI. There will be team meetings via zoom before the trip. The field leaders will be in charge of the schedule and team devotions and activities.
We would like to have applications in by the end of April.
Thank you again for all that you do.
In Christ our Saviour,
JeanJean and Kristie Mompremier
4/9/25:
Please continue to pray for the people of Mirebalais. Gangs are still operating in that city despite efforts of the militia and many people. Many people have died and more are fleeing the violence. The people of Mirebalais have spread out to many places looking for a safe place to stay. Our area is saturated. Please pray that the Lord will continue to provides housing, food, and water for them. Praise the Lord for the many that have opened their doors to provide refuge.
We are very thankful for our university students that have volunteered their time to check the physical health of these refugees and to lend a listening ear to their plight. In desperate times, people that are modeling Jesus's life on earth give us all hope.
