TRAVIS & APRIL HOLTAN - APEX MINISTRIES:

1/23/25:
After an exciting and exhausting season of travel, I’m finally home! The past few weeks have taken me to Impact, a Mexico City mission trip, and a discipleship conference—all incredible experiences, but I wrapped it up with an unwanted souvenir: Influenza A. Thankfully, I’m about 90% recovered and ready to dive back in.
This Sunday, I have the privilege of preaching at Hope Church, and the very next day, Monday evening, I’ll be speaking at a large college ministry at Pleasant Valley Church in Winona, MN.
I would appreciate your prayers for:
  • The right words to say as I prepare and preach.
  • Health as I continue to recover fully.
  • Safe travels as I hit the road once again. Thank you for being a constant source of encouragement and support. I’m grateful to do this ministry with you!
Blessings,
Travis

2/20/25:
It’s been a busy and exciting few weeks, and I’m grateful for your ongoing prayers and support. As I write this, I’m on a plane heading to our Apex winter team meetings—leaving behind -3 degrees this morning and heading to sunny Orlando, where it’s a balmy 87 degrees. Quite the shift, but I’m not complaining!
Preaching at Hope Church
I had the privilege of preaching at Hope Church recently. I’m praying that the message was impactful and that it leads to more connections with those who feel called to partner with us through prayer or giving.
College Ministry in Winona, MN
Speaking at a college ministry in Winona was a joy! The students were highly engaged, and I spent several hours afterward talking with them about potential opportunities with Apex. It was also great getting to know the college pastor—relationships like these are so valuable as we continue to grow.
Moody Bible Institute Missions Conference
We had the opportunity to promote Apex at Moody’s Missions Conference, themed ā€œUnreached: Where Christ Is Not Yet Named.ā€ It was inspiring to focus on reaching people groups who have yet to hear the Gospel. While there, we hired a few summer staff and had productive conversations with the youth ministry department heads about creating internship opportunities for their program.
EFCA Theology Conference
I attended the EFCA Theology Conference, where the theme was Theological Anthropology: ā€œGod created man in his own image.ā€ This gathering addressed critical questions about what it means to be created in God’s image, including human sexuality, agency, limitations, and even how AI affects our understanding of humanity. It was a thought-provoking time that will undoubtedly shape ministry conversations going forward.
Emmaus University’s Christian Ministries Seminars
I also connected with students at Emmaus University during their CMS event. This year’s theme, ā€œI Surrender All,ā€ resonated with many students, and I had several meaningful conversations with those considering internships or post-graduation ministry opportunities with Apex. Emmaus students continue to inspire me with their passion for the Gospel.
Apex Winter Team Meetings
This time of year is always a highlight! Since our team is remote, being together in person is invaluable. Please pray for our Directors as we gather a few days early to work through our ministry’s mid-range and long-term goals for the next 2-5 years. We’re excited to see where God leads us!
Exciting News: Welcome, Andrew!
We’re thrilled to welcome our new teammate, Andrew, who reached 100% funding and officially started with Apex on February 1st! Please pray for him as he settles into his new role and begins serving with us.
Thank You to Our Supporters
We are deeply grateful to those who support us financially—your generosity makes this ministry possible. Every trip, every conversation, every student impacted by Apex happens because of your faithfulness. Thank you for partnering with us in mobilizing the next generation for missions!

Prayer Requests:
• For connections with potential partners from recent speaking opportunities.
• For the students I met at Winona and Emmaus, that God would guide them in their next steps.
• For our Apex winter meetings—that we would have clarity, unity, and vision for the future.
• For Andrew as he settles into his new role with Apex.

Thank you for standing with us in prayer, encouragement, and support. I am grateful for each of you as we work together to mobilize the next generation for the Gospel!
In Christ,
Travis Holtan
